Mellisa Shaddick (left) is an admired High School IB Film Teacher at Branksome Hall and the entrepreneur behind "City of Women". Pictured above with her business partner, their software promotes women by helping locals find goods and services from feminist entrepreneurs within the GTA.
Naomi McDougall
Jones
Naomi McDougall Jones is an award-winning actress, writer, and producer. Her TED Talk, "What It's Like to Be a Woman in Hollywood," ignited a global outpouring of support for the women in film movement. Her new book "The Wrong Kind of Woman" looks at the systemic exclusion of women in film.
Alicia Malone
Alicia Malone is a host on Turner Classic Movies, and the Podcast "Magnificent Obsession". as well as a film reporter, film critic, writer and all-around movie geek. Her TedTalk #GirlsInFilm and her books "Backwards in Heels" and "The Female Gaze" are essential for young female filmmakers.
Kelly Fyffe-Marshall
Kelly Fyffe-Marshall is a director, writer and award winning filmmaker. She is a dedicated social activist, who inspires change through her films and speaking engagements. She is one of the founding visionaries behind the nonprofit "We Have The Right To Be Right’". She encourages young people to "Make Ripples Where You Are" in her popular TEDTalk.
Amber-Sekowan Daniels
Amber-Sekowan Daniels is a Oji-Cree filmmaker, author, screenwriter and comedian. She manages Women in View, a not-for-profit dedicated to parity and inclusion in Canadian screen based media and is the author/researcher behind "Women in View on Screen".
